THE RED FOLDER

Family Protection Check

Would your family be prepared if tomorrow you could no longer be there?

There are some questions we tend to put off until later.

  • Who would care for your children?
  • Would your family know where to find your important documents?
  • Would they know what accounts, insurance policies or assets you have?
  • Would they know your wishes?
  • And what would happen to your family or assets in another country?

The Red Folder Family Protection Check is a free assessment designed to help you understand how prepared your family may be in the event of an emergency, incapacity or death.

What will we look at?

Your Family Protection Check explores five essential areas of family protection:

Legal Decisions & Protection

Discover whether the important decisions and documents your family may need are organised and accessible.

Children & Dependants

Consider whether you have thought about, documented and communicated who could care for the people who depend on you in an emergency.

Financial Protection

Identify whether your family could locate your assets, financial obligations, insurance, benefits and other important financial information.

Documents & Digital Life

Check whether your important documents, contacts and essential information are organised and accessible to someone you trust.

International Family & Assets

If your life extends across more than one country, identify areas that may require additional planning.

Your Privacy Matters

You need a free account to take the check. Your answers are saved privately to your account as you go, so you can leave and continue later, and your completed report is saved to My Red Folder. Your answers and reports are not sent to analytics. When you complete a check, The Red Folder's administrator, Lis, can see your name, email, language and the date you completed it, so she knows a check was finished. She can open your report and contact you only if you have given results-review permission. This is optional, can be changed or withdrawn at any time in your account settings, and never gives access to your uploaded documents, family letters or other folder information. Our Privacy Policy is still being prepared.

Please do not enter passwords, full bank account numbers or other highly sensitive information into this questionnaire.
